DevOps Engineer
The DevOps Engineer often times referred to as a Build & Release Engineer due to similarities in technical knowledge, is a modern day mix between development and infrastructure. This engineer's main responsibility is to oversee the release of code by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment process. Since DevOps is still considered a new phenomena or mindset, many developers transition into DevOps due to their ability to already code and write scripts. System Engineers and Administrators also make this transition due to their already present knowledge of infrastructure and deployment though experts go back and forth on which skill-set can best make the transition towards true DevOps as intended.
Salary Range: $95K to $190K
